William Theodore "Ted" Clovis, 79 of Kermit WV, formerly of St. Marys WV, passed away peacefully April 8th 2020 at his residence. Born in Parkersburg WV on October 30 1940, he was the son of Robert and Evelyn Clovis. He was a 1958 graduate of St. Marys High School. Ted worked for Quaker State Oil Refinery for many years before retiring in 1987. He was also a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Williamson, WV. Ted was a loving father and a very loving papaw to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his children Robert "Bobby" Clovis of St. Marys WV, Matthew "Matt" (Rhonda) Clovis of Kermit WV and Stephanie (Dale) Colvin of St. Marys WV. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Bethany Colvin, Valerie Colvin, Vivian Muntz, Rachel Doss and Sarah Blackburn and his great grandchildren; Vanessa Muntz, Makayla Muntz, Tiffany Dayle, Wade Blackburn, Joelle Doss, Caitlynn Ramsey, Layne Ramsey, Isaiah Ramsey, Emmalynn Ramsey and several cousins. Ted was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Evelyn Clovis, his grandparents Harry and Mamie Clovis and William and Nellie Adkins and his wife Barbara Clovis.
Graveside services will be for family only on Monday April 13, 2020 in Kermit WV with Pastor Bobby Perry presiding.
