Obituary for Wendell Lee Duty
Wendell Lee Duty, 80, of Naugatuck, WV passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, April 3, 2020 at Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.
Wendell was born August 17, 1939 in Mingo County, WV. He is a graduate of Matewan High School. He married his wife, Irene, on November 17, 1960. Wendell loved woodworking and watching the Tug Valley Panthers play.
He is preceded in death by his father, William H. Duty; his mother, Mary Alice Duty (Curry); his brother, James F. Duty; and his sisters: Geneva Mae Marcum (Duty) and Vera Lea Vance.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Irene Duty; his brother, William D. Duty; his three sons: Bryan Duty (Robyn), Randall Duty, and William A. Duty; his daughter, Telyna Chafin (Isreal); his five grandchildren: Joshua Duty, Kendra Duty, Alaina Duty, Drake Duty, and Mason Chafin; his great granddaughter, Aria Lee; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wendell’s life will be celebrated at a private family get together at a later date. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Wendell Lee Duty.
