Walter L. (Pokie) Jarrell Jr. 64 of Homosassa, Florida formerly of Hode, KY went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2020 at the Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. Jr. was born on January 8, 1956 in Hode, KY; he was a son of the late Walter Jarrell and Esteriah Maynard. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Jarrell. Pokie enjoyed watching things like Paw Patrol, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Jr. is survived by his one sister, Jackie Dempsey of Hode, KY as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He also is survived by his care givers and the ones who took him in as their own, Jimmy and Dinah Ferguson of Homosassa, Florida and their children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-4pm on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Mullins Family Funeral Home with funeral services being conducted at 4pm with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarrell Cemetery of Hode, KY. *Due to the recent mandates set by the funeral directors association and Governor Beshear, all funerals are required up to 50% of their capacity, we are holding our crowds to 35-40 people at a time and all attendees are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. * Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Walter L.
