Veronica Lynn Marcum 40 of Mt. Sterling, OH, formerly of Jennies Creek, WV; passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Mt. Caramel Hospital of Grove City, OH. She was a daughter of David (Art) and Kathy Fields Spurlock of Kermit, WV and was born on October 21, 1981 in Williamson, Wv. Veronica was preceded in death by her grandparents; Walter Fields, Mary Muncy, and Everett Spurlock as well as an aunt, Rose Spurlock as well as several aunts and uncles. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

Veronica is survived by her parents as well as her Fiance, Jimmy Lee Chafins of Mt. Sterling, OH, 2 sons, David and Alvin Marcum both of Williamson, WV, sisters, Rose Mary “Pookie” (Miguel) Jeffrey of Kermit, WV, Jessica “Boober” (David) Evans of New Holland, OH and her 5 nephews, Samuel, David, Michael, Johnathan, and Raymond.

Visitation will be after 5pm Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Old Jennies Creek United Baptist Church with special services on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 7pm and funeral services being conducted on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 12:00pm with Freddy Messer Jr. and Lafe Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter-Messer Cemetery of Jennies Creek, WV. Covid 19 recommendations are advised for all in attendance.
