Vennie Jane Hammond 78 of Inez, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 3, 1942 in Martin County, KY; she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Verla Fannin Horn. Vennie was preceded in death by her son, Billy Jack Hammond, grandson, James Ray Gantt, brothers, James Allen Horn and Steve Horn as well as her sister, Frances Hinkle. She was a homemaker and a retired house cleaner.
Vennie is survived by the father of her children, Billy Ray Hammond of Louisa, KY, sons, Elmer Ray Hammond of Louisa, KY, Robert David Hammond (Bobby) of Fallsburg, KY and daughters, Peggy Sue Music of Inez, KY and Jan Deanna Runyon of Columbus, OH as well as 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Vennie also is survived by a sister, Brenda Blackburn of Inez, Ky as well as numerous family, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be after 6pm Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church of Big Elk Creek, KY with funeral services being conducted on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 1:00pm at the church with Warnie Pinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memory Gardens of Louisa, KY. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Vennie Jane Hammond.
