Obituary for Thurman Brewer

Thurman Brewer, 84, of Kermit, WV, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Hospital after an extended battle with an ongoing illness. Thurman was born on June 5th1937 to Boyd and Dicie Brewer in Kermit, West Virginia. Thurman worked and retired from Kroger Bakery in Columbus, OH as a maintenance worker for 30 years. Thurman’s hobbies included spending time with his friends and family, sports such as football and basketball, and nascar racing. He loved God and attended Stepptown Baptist Church for 12 years.
Thurman was preceded in death by his parents. His brothers: Hercel, Gomer, Tom, Paul; and sisters: Hazel and Ivory. Thurman is survived by his loving wife, Doris, and two sisters, Pauline (John) and Edna. His children, Steve (Sherri) and Carolyn (Steve). Grandchildren: Aleiah (Greg), Seth (Raeana), Austin (Lexie), and Cullen. Great grandchildren: Noah, Elijah, Madelyn, Everlyn, and Alizabeth and a great grandchild on the way, Amzie. Along with numerous nieces and nephews, and countless other friends and family. Visitation will be from 6pm-9pm on Tuesday February 15th, 2022, at Silver Creek United Baptist Church, with funeral services being conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the church and will be officiated by Glenn Messer. Burial will follow at the Rosetown Cemetery in Marrowbone, WV. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Thurman Brewer.
