Obituary for Stanley Andrew "Andy" Messer

Stanley Andrew (Andy) Messer, 39 of Jennies Creek, WV; beloved son of Dallas and Brenda Carey Messer and father of Mia Alexandria Messer, went to be with his Lord on March 17, 2021.
He is survived by his parents, Dallas and Brenda Messer, daughter, Mia, paternal grandmother, Eliza Messer, maternal grandparents, Gerald and Beatrice Chafin, and a host of aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. He is also survived by two very special friends, James Wooley and Lonnie Evans. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Clellen Messer and Garland Carey Jr.
He attended Tug Valley High School and Devry University. He worked for First Choice Technical Services of Knoxville, Tennessee. In the end, we all become stories to those we love. Andy’s stories are about how he loved to play and sing, Blue Grass Gospel Music, how he was a genius at computers, and how he loved to ride his motorcycle.
Pallbearers will be his first cousins; Roger Allen, Scottie and Gary Messer, Marty Marcum, John David Messer, Eric Brumfield, Jacob Williamson, and Ace Maynard.
Visitation will be from 10:30am – 12pm at the Mullins Family Funeral Home on Saturday, March 27, 2021 with the funeral starting at 12pm with his uncles, Eugene Marcum and Dale Carey officiating. Burial will follow in the Clellen Messer Family Cemetery of Jennies Creek, WV. Per Andy’s request; (upon learning that he was terminal,) he will be transported to the cemetery in the back of a pick up truck and not a hearse. He was a member of the Jennies Creek Gospel Church. Andy was and is much loved and will be missed more than words can say. In response to the COVID-19 Virus, all attendees are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Due to capacity restrictions; we are only allowed 35-40 people at a time in the chapel and no food or drinks are allowed inside the facility.
