Obituary for Sarah Marcum (James)
Sarah James Marcum 93 of Warfield, Ky as well as from Stepptown, Wv passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the Community Hospice of Ashland, KY. She was born on April 2, 1927 in Mingo Co., WV; she was a daughter of the late Sol and Elsie James. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Ermel Marcum as well as siblings; Kenneth and John James, Mary Strugell, and Beulah Stepp. She was a homemaker as well as a restaurant worker at the Sturgell Restraurant.
Sarah is survived by her sons, Gerald (Grethel) Marcum of Marrowbone, WV, Kenneth Marcum of Warfield, KY, daughters, Sheila (Roger) Sartin of Stepptown, WV and Rose Mary Sartin of Warfield, KY as well as 7 grandchildren; Chrystal, Jason, Sarah, Danielle, Sol, Sam, and Seth and 9 great grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be conducted in accordance with the rules set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, CDC, and Kentucky Funeral Directors Association in reference to the COVID-19 Virus. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Sarah James Marcum.
