Obituary for Roy Dingess

Roy Dingess 78 of Warfield, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Jordan Center in Louisa, KY. He was born on May 27, 1943 in Warfield, KY; he was a son of the late Roscoe Roy and Vashtie Alley Dingess. Roy was preceded in death by his baby boy, Marty as well as siblings; Benny, Elizabeth, Johnny, and Opal as well as brother-in-laws, Arlie Dingess and William R. McCoy. Roy was a coal miner for 27 and half years and member of the Hode Church of God.

He is survived by his spouse of 8 years, Deborah Moore Horn of Warfield, KY, sons, Tracy (Ladonna) Dingess of Somerset, KY, Timothy (Melissa) Dingess of Paintsville, KY, Ephesus Collins of Paintsville, KY, Charlie Collins and Denver Collins of Tennessee, daughters, Faith Copley of Ohio, Eliza (Frederick) Marcum of West Virginia, and Cindy Blackwelder of Florida as well as 7 grandchildren. Roy is also survived by his brother, Walter (Janie) Dingess of Hode, KY, and sisters, Ethel (Scott) Bowen of Hode, KY, Bessie Mae Dingess Hode, KY, Emma Jean McCoy of Hode, KY, and Thelma (Clarence) Robsinson of Inez, KY as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 21, 2022 after 2pm at the Hode Church of God with funeral services being conducted on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00pm at the Hode Church of God with Tracy Dingess and Michael Alley officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Dingess Cemetery of Hode, KY. Special services will be conducted on Friday night at 7:00pm at the church. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Roy Dingess.
