Ronnie “Ronbo” Messer 48, of Dunlow, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Peach Orchard, KY. He was born on April 8, 1971 in Charleston, WV; he was a son of the late Lonnie and Eloise Newsome Messer and sisters, Velvet Messer and Emma Strugell. Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Mary Marcum of Pike County, KY, and his two grandchildren, Chandler and Alice Mullett both of Pike Co., KY. He is also survived by his sister, Ruthie Messer of Kermit, WV, three nieces and nephews, Faith Copley, Lonnie Hundley, and Hope Hundley. He is also survived by his ex-fiance, Katherine Moore, grandson he raised, Brandon Mullett and step-daughter, Faith Moore as well as several aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews. Ronbo also leaves behind a special niece, Rebecca Cole of Tomahawk, KY and his caregivers, Doug and Crystal Sizemore of Tomahawk, KY.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 11:00am at the Neely Branch United Baptist Church with Michael Bryant and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Ridge Cemetery of Naugatuck, WV. Visitation will be after 2pm Saturday and until time of services of Monday at the church.
