Obituary for Ronnie Johnson Jr.
Ronnie Johnson Jr. 46, born April 12, 1974 passed from this life to the next, September 11, 2020. He is preceded in death by a nephew Dylan Luke Johnson, his paternal grandparents Freddie and Ivel (Bowen) Johnson, maternal grandparents James and Joan (Marcum) Snodgrass, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Ronnie is survived by his child, Damien Sky Johnson of Winchester, Ky.
His parents Ronnie Sr. and Audrey Johnson of Inez, brother Jarett Johnson of Inez, brother Jayson Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio, his nieces Alexandria and Iris Johnson whom he loved dearly. Aunts Charlene Marcum of Warfield, Ky Darlene Dials of Columbus, Sandra Preece of Kermit, Wv., Patricia Heron and Melinda Johnson of Columbus Ohio and Angie Brown of Columbus, Ohio, many cousins and lots of close friends.
Saved and Baptized at a young age he never lost his faith. He would describe his relationship with God as special. We knew this to be true.
Ronnie was a laborer, as well as a caregiver for his ailing father for many years. To describe Ronnie, he was a free spirit who marched to the beat of his own drum, the kind of guy to give you the shirt off his back, Ronnie would gladly help anyone he liked. He loved fishing and would spend many nights hanging out at the pond. Ronnie could entertain you with his big wild stories or pitch a game of horse shoes and beat you good. A kid at heart, Ronnie connected with children and could easily play with them for hours. Ronnie would find the simple things most important. His death will leave a profound loss our lives. We will forever grieve his passing. Forever in our hearts Ronnie, we will never get over loosing you. We pray that God welcomes you with open arms into heaven. Per Ronnie’s request he will be given a natural burial at Riverview memorial gardens per private ceremony.
