Richard Eugene Bowens 74 of Crum, WV passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital of Huntington, WV. He was born on November, 20, 1946 in Crum, WV; he was a son of the late Roy and Nancy Williams Bowens. He was preceded in death by his partner in life, Lurie Maynard as well as his children, James Maynard, Bobby Maynard, Wilburn Maynard, Patricia Pridemore, and Tammy Nix. He was a logger and of the Baptist Faith.
Richard is survived by his children; Merlin McCoy of Barboursville, Wv, Ella Maynard of Delbarton, WV, Russell Maynard of Webb, WV, Terry Maynard of Webb, WV and Ernestine Maynard of Webb, WV as well as 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren and a sister, Juddy Lohr of Florida.
Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, January 18, 2021 after 12pm at the Webb Freewill Baptist Church with Funeral services being conducted on Wednesday, January 19, 2021 at 1:00pm at the church with Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Community Cemetery of Webb, KY. In response to the covid-19 virus, all attendees are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
