Oretha Marcum, 72, of Crum, WV passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020. She was born April 15, 1948 to the late Bertridge Thomas and Betty Anne Jude. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Marcum, her five siblings: Walter, Lonnie, Arthur, Bennie and Goldia, as well as two children: Bruce Darren and Adam Marcum. She is survived by her son Johnny Marcum, her daughters Michelle and Diana, as well as Tami, Jennings and Bob and her 11 grandchildren: Goldia, Desiree, Stacy, Mandi, Mesara, Woodrow, Candice, Johnny, Shannon, Misty and Tia, and 20 great grandchildren along with many family and friends. Her children feel she was the best mother anyone could hope to have, an amazing grandmother, a faithful friend and a very devoted child of God. She was the leader of the CTL club where her members loved her dearly. She enjoyed visiting churches, nursing homes and doing all she could to help others. Many people believe she was an angel on Earth, and she is now an angel in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by everyone her life touched.

Visitation will be at Stoney Hill Church on Stonecoal Sunday, Nov 8 from 6-9PM for family and close friends, Monday 6-9PM with church service at 7PM, and the funeral Tuesday at 2PM.
