Michael Shawn Marcum 45 of Summersfork, WV, went home to be with his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on September 9th, 2020. Michael was the loving husband of Jamie Fletcher Marcum and loving father of Johnny Michael Marcum, Shawn Harrison Marcum, and Emma Jean Marcum arriving in December. Michael was a member of the Old Jenny’s Creek Baptist Church. Michael loved his kids very much and was a wonderful Daddy. Michael was born on October 8, 1974; he was a son of the late Carl and Emmogene Marcum. Michael is also preceded in death by his father-in-law Johnny Fletcher in death as well as 2 brothers Brian and Carl Jr. Marcum. Michael is survived by his brothers; Darrell Marcum of Summersfork, Jeffery Marcum of Breeden, and Gary Marcum of Dingess. He is also survived by his sisters, Sherry (Marvin) Vance of Breeden, Phyllis Marcum of Jenny’s Creek, Donna Marcum of Beauty, Ky, and Melissa (Gary) Evans of Lenore. Michael leaves behind a special brother in law Johnathon (Tory) Fletcher. Michael also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Michael will truly be missed by so many.
Visitation will be after 5pm Friday at the Old Jennies Creek Baptist Church with funeral services being conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 1:00pm at the church with Ray Messer Jr. officiating with burial to follow in the Dewey Marcum Cemetery of Webb Road, Crum, Wv.
