Obituary for Mary Muncy (Fields)
Mary Fields Muncy 84 of Kermit, WV passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. She was born on December 27, 1935 in Martin County, KY; she was a daughter of the Laura Bell Chambers and her parents that raised her; the late Charlie and Sadie Davis Defoe. Mary is preceded in death by her four brothers, James Johnson, Frank Johnson, Eddie Davis, and Matt Davis. She was a Christian and a homemaker.
Mary is survived by her sisters; Opal Defoe Estepp, Annie Chambers, and Tammy Johnson as well as her brothers, Jimmy Davis and Jerry Defoe. Mary also leaves behind her children; Willie and Georgia Fields of North Carolina, Rose and Robert Spurlock of Dan’s Branch, WV, Kathy and David Spurlock of Jennies Creek, WV, John and Loretta Fields of Williamson, WV, Charlotte and Eugene Spurlock of Jennies Creek, WV, Norma Fields and Jesse Messer of Marrowbone Creek, WV, and Effie Fields of Stepptown, WV as well as many grandkids, great grandkids, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins and her pets. Mom was a beautiful and amazing person.
In accordance with the rules set by Governor Andy Beshear, in respect to the COVID-19 Virus, they will be a private graveside service for the immediate family. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Mary Fields Muncy.
