Obituary for Mae Marcum
Mae Marcum 96 years old of Kermit, WV; entered into the presence of the Lord on February 20, 2022 at her home. She was born on April 18, 1925 in Pilgrim, KY; she was a daughter of the late Sonny and Tennessee Maynard Jude. Mae was a member of the Welcome Home Church for many years. She was a prayer warrior and loved the Lord with her whole heart.
In addition to her parents as well as all her brothers and sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Marcum, 2 sons, Paul and Carl Leslie Marcum. She was homemaker.
Mae is survived by her children; Gene (Barb) Marcum, Ruth (Bruce) Smith, Tennie (John) Lawrence, Lewis (Margaret) Marcum, Lyle (Patty) Marcum, Darlene (Jerry) Messer, and Georgia Evenhouse. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special neighbors, Junior and Janette Baisden.
Visitation will be from 5pm til 8pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Mullins Family Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the funeral servies, with funeral services being conducted on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 1pm with Eugene Marcum and John David Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewer-Fitzpatrick Cemetery of Marrowbone, WV. In response to COVID-19 it is requested that all attendees wear masks and practice social distancing.
