June Smith 101 of Inez, KY passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at home. She was born on May 2, 1919 in Gilbert, Wv; she was the daughter of the late Oley Cook and Goldie (Davidson) Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Smith, and her children: James Smith, Johnny Smith, Bill Smith Jr., Robert Smith, Paul Smith, Margie McKinney, Peggy Williamson, Tammy Slone, Beatrice Fitzpatrick, Opal Mead, three brothers, Norris Cook, Norwood Cook, Otis Cook, and one sister, Mavis Blankenship. She was a homemaker and a member of the Inez Church of Christ on Coldwater Road.
She is survived by her children, Rolfe (Glen) Faye Smith of Vine Grove, KY, David Neil and Jeanie Smith of Inez, Ky, Jed (Debbie) Smith of Inez, Ky, Linda (Charlie) Cox of Inez, KY and a beloved sister, Jeanie Conley of Oceana, WV and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 starting at 10:00am with funeral services being conducted at 1:00pm at the Mullins Family Funeral Home with James Russell Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery of Old Rt. 3, Rockcastle Road, Inez, KY. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of June Smith.
