Obituary for Joanne Blackburn
Joanne Blackburn 84, of Turkey Creek, KY; went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2022 at the Tug Valley ARH Hospital in South Williamson, KY. Joanne was born on December 6, 1937 in Charleston, WV to the late Clifton Preece and Belva Jane Crum Preece. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Blackburn Jr.
Joanne was a member of the Middle Fork United Baptist Church of Martin County, KY.
Joanne is survived by her sister, Rosalie Preece Salmons, though Joanne had no children, she loved her nieces and nephews as her own. Joanne loved being outdoors, working in her flower garden and she had a special love for animals.
Joanne also worked at the Tug Valley ARH Hospital for nine years as a LPN.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the Big Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery of Turkey Creek, South Williamson, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will begin at 10am on Sunday at the church. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Joanne Blackburn.
