Jerry Lee Ward 72, of Poplar Fork Road, Beauty, KY; went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1947 in Kermit, WV; he was a son of the late Willie Lyle Ward and Etta Vanover. Jerry is preceded in death by his twin sister, Janet Sue Ward, Joyce Faye Ward, sister, Joyce Faye, brothers, Paul, Merl, Bob, Lyle, and Roger Ward as well as one precious grandson, Samuel Lee Ward. Jerry was a coal miner and a deacon at the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church.
Jerry leaves behind his spouse, Carol Perry Ward of Beauty, KY, sons, Jerry Lee Ward II (Donna) of Georgetown, KY, Peyton Micheal Ward (Samantha) of Beauty, KY and daughter, Janet Lea Ward of Beauty, KY as well as 7 grandchildren, Natasha, Hannah, Dakota, Jacob, Austin, Rex, and Isaac Ward. He also leaves behind his sisters, Geneive Ward Duffey and Ima Jean Ward Dawson and a host of brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews and church family he loved and adored.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Perry Family Cemetery of Beauty, KY with Warnie Pinson officiating. Burial will follow after the service. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church.
