James Scott, 59, of Pilgrim, KY passed away on May 11, 2021 at Highlands ARH. He was born on May 20, 1961 to Leonard Scott and Liddie Adkins. James is proceeded in death by both parents and one brother, John B. Scott. He is survived by his wife Mary Scott and six children, Jennifer (Jeremy) Spaulding, Cristy (Cody) Jude of Inez, Ky, Teira Scott (Joey Hickman), Carrie Scott (Austin Brown), Bessie Scott, and Mary Scott of Pilgrim, Ky. He leaves behind five grandkids, Kaylee, Corbin, and Ezekiel Spaulding, Brantley Jude, Anah Hickman, and two more on the way. He also lives behind siblings Audrey Scott (Billy Greer) of Lovely, Ky, Bessie (Paul) Sartin and David (Christy) Scott, both of Alabama, Phyllis (Elza) Maynard of Louisa, Ky, Karen Scott and one sister- in- law Virgie Scott. He also had two special friends that are more like brothers, Hoagy Moore and David Sartin.
Visitation will be at the Martin County Freewill Baptist Church in Pilgrim, KY at 6:00pm on Wednesday May 12, 2021 and Thursday May 13, 2021 with the funeral on Friday May 14, 2021 at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Robinson-Scott and Friends Cemetery in Pilgrim, KY. In response to the Covid-19 Virus all attendees are required to wear face mask and practice proper social distancing guidelines.
