Hobert E. Fields 55 of Columbus, OH went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2020 at the Whetstone Nursing Facility in Columbus, OH. He was born on August 22, 1964 in Columbus, OH, he was a son of the late Thomas and Belvia Jean Fields. Hobert is also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Fields and Frances Ann Fields. He was a welder at Wesserstrom in Columbus, loved gardening, and loved working for a towing company. He loved his fast cars and going deer hunting as well as a dedicated Michigan Fan. Hobert was a hard, working man and loved his grandchildren very much.
Hobert leaves behind his children, Airiel Fields (Shawn) of Columbus, and Savanna Fields (Robert) also of Columbus, OH, grandchildren; Shawn Jr., Mavis, and Ava. He also leaves behind his brother, Jeff (Kay) Bowens of Dansville, OH, special friends, Johnny (Gail) Cline as well as 1 niece and 1 nephew and many friends.
Visitation will be on Monday from 12pm til 2:00pm at the Mullins Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 2:00pm with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fields-Messer Cemetery of Stone Coal, WV. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked to make donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
