Heather (Mollette) Preece 34, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3rd, 2020, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on April 23rd, 1986 to Nimrod Mollette and Loretta (Hall) Mollette of Pilgrim Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Shawn Preece, father-in-law James Preece, paternal grandparents Willie and Ruby Mollette, and maternal grandmother Earnestine Hall. Heather truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with her children and her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and follower of Christ. Her smile would light up a room, and her heart was filled with love and compassion for everyone. She is survived by her loving husband Brandon Preece, adoring mother-in-law and father-in-law Sarah (Mike Maynard) Preece, and her four sons Shawn, Chase, Corey, and Kash Preece of Beauty Kentucky, who she loved more than anything. She is also survived by her siblings Halley (Jason) Carter of Pilgrim, Neil Mollette (Abby Bailey) of Versailles, Nicholas Mollette of Lexington, Holly (Tyler) Mullins of Pilgrim, Nate (Ashley) Mollette of Pilgrim, Hannah Mollette of Pilgrim, and Noah Mollette of Pilgrim. Also, surviving are her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, her maternal grandfather Pete Hall of Ohio, and her special cousin Jessica (Jason) Jewell who was like a sister to Heather. Heather was deeply loved by her extended family and friends. All who knew Heather will miss her, and every life she touched is better because of her beautiful spirit.
Family are welcome at the Union United Baptist church of Pilgrim from 2-5pm on Saturday September 5th, and friends are welcome at 5pm. Special services preached by Michael Marcum will be on Sunday night September 6th at 7pm. Funeral services will be preached by Terry Harmon at 1pm on Monday September 7th. Burial will follow at the Perry-Damron Cemetery on Big Elk Creek. The family asks that donations to be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. In response to the covid-19 pandemic, it is required that all attendees wear some type of facial covering.
