George Norman Sammons 75 of Warfield, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at J.J. Jordan Senior Living Center in Louisa, Ky. He was born on July 15, 1947 to the late George McClellan Sammons and Audrey Clay Sammons. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his loving brother, Dwight David Sammons.

George is survived by his children; Sean (Teresa) Sammons of Louisa, KY, Jason Sammons of Louisa, KY, Sara Sammons of Ashland, KY, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as his siblings; Ewell (Brenda) Sammons of Salyersville, KY, Gregory (Carol) Sammons of Warfield, KY, Harry (Jane) Sammons of Dobson, NC, Sheldon (Joyce) Sammons of Warfield, KY, Tammy (John) Hensley of Warfield, KY, John Sammons of Warfield, KY and Norma Sammons of Inez, KY and many nieces and nephews.

In life George was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired coal miner. George also loved to take his family fishing.

No services will be held at this time per his wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and friends in honor of his memory. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of George Norman Sammons.
