Gary Dean Staten 71, of Pilgrim, KY; finished his race on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at U.K. Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on January 3, 1949 to the late Paul Dean and Roubena (Hale) Staten. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Thomas Staten and his maternal grandparents, E.E. (Boy) and Bertha Hale. Gary was a Christian and a Coal Miner in which he worked for Wolf Creek Colliers.
Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wilma (Kirk) Staten, daughters, Regina Ramsey, Tracy (Billy) Lail of Winchester, KY, and son, Steven Gary Staten of Lexington, KY, four grandchildren, Bryan, Matthew, Benjamin, and Michael, sister, Debbie (Staten) Carter and brother, Kevin Staten of Lovely, KY.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm Tuesday, and 12-1pm Wednesday at the Mullins Family Funeral Home, with funeral services being conducted on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 1:00pm with John Horn and Danny Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery of Pilgrim, KY. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Gary Dean Staten.
