Obituary for Flem Salmons

Flem Salmons 74 of Kermit, WV; went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, KY. He was born on December 8, 1946 in Mingo County, WV; he was a son of the late Benny and Virgie Marcum Salmons. He was preceded in death by his son and daughter in law, Johnny (Christi) Salmons, grandchild, Jeremiah Ray Butcher and several brothers and sisters. He was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church and was a coal miner for 30 plus years.
Flem is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Glendon Salmons of Kermit, WV and children; Donald (Michelle) Salmons of Kermit, WV, Brenda Butcher and the late Harrison Butcher of Kermit, WV, Rhoda Salmons of Kermit, WV as well as 7 grandchildren; Donald Salmons Jr, Johnathan Salmons, Cameron Salmons, Sara Salmons, Macus (Elizabeth) Butcher, Charity Newsome, and Corrina Newsome as well as 1 great grand baby on the way. Flem is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be after 5pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Lighthouse Community Church with special services being conducted at 7pm with funeral services being conducted on Wednesday, June 22, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Lighthouse Community Church with Keith Brumfield and Bobby Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Point Cemetery of Jennies Creek, WV. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Flem Salmons.
