Obituary for Everett Blair

On July 20, 2019, Everett “Cotton” Blair born on January 7, 1939 in Delbarton, WV; departed this life to rest in the arms of Jesus. Everett, loving father and grandfather, strong faith in God was evident to all who knew him. He passed peacefully at his home at Parsley Bottom, WV. Everett was a retired truck driver. He leaves behind 4 children: Stephanie (Tim) John, Hank (Paula) Blair, Nichole Blair and Misty (David) Bevins. In addition, he is survived by the mother of his children, Verna Thompson, one grandson, Hank Chance John along with 6 granddaughters: Kasidy Marcum, BreAnna Bevins, Sarah Bevins, Olivia Lockhart, Journey Blair, and Lacey Burns as well as 2 great grandchildren, Grayson Burns and Gavin Burns and a host of family and friends. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Brison and Annie Marcum Blair, two brothers, Dennis and Frankie Blair as well as two sisters, Elizabeth Murphy and Ella Bea Stratton. Wake services will at the Warfield Church of God on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm with Brother Kenny Gore bringing the message. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Warfield Church of God with Jimmy Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery at Parsley Bottom, WV. Visitation will be after 5pm Tuesday at the church.
