Eva Howard Stacy 79, of Big Branch Road, Pikeville, KY went to sleep in the Lord on Tuesday morning after a battle with cancer. While at the house of her daughter, Judy, she was surrounded by her children and family who loved her deeply and more than words could say. Eva was born on January 7, 1941 in Pilgrim, Ky; she was a daughter of the late Clinton and Azzie Jude Howard. Being raised in a Christian home Eva decided early in life to be a Christian herself, becoming a member of the Old Regular Baptist at the church named Leanna Old Regular Baptist Church of Pilgrim, KY. On September 7, 1960, she married the love of her life, Clarence Stacy, who also became a deacon in the Leanna Old Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband in November 2009 as well as several brothers and sister. Eva was a homemaker and a dedicated Christian and mother as well as a wife.
Eva is survived by 7 children; Judy (Bobby) Mullins of Pikeville, KY, Julia (Steve) Parks of Meta, KY, Jean (Denny Ray) Moore of Lawrence County, KY, J.C. (Ramona) Stacy of Pikeville, KY, Jennifer (Donald Ray) Maynard of Varney, KY, Mary Ann (Brian) Greene of Blaine, KY, and Marie (Scott) Fitchpatrick of Kermit, WV. Eva also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren as well as 2 brothers, Bill (Marcella) Howard and Milford Howard both of Pilgrim, KY as well as an extended group of friends, family, and people who loved and will miss her. She had stated that she had saw Jesus coming to her with a pair of wings and we need to believe and trust that Jesus did just what she seen and she is now resting from her labor.
In accordance to the ordinance set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, CDC, and Kentucky Funeral Directors Association a private graveside service. She was laid to rest beside the love of her life on Big Branch Road, Pikeville, KY. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Eva Howard Stacy.
