Elmer Maynard 85 of Van Lear, KY passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at his home in Van Lear, KY. Elmer was born on September 10, 1937, he was a son of the late Nathan and Viola Sartin Maynard. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Nathan Jay Maynard, Tennis Maynard, Leonard Maynard, sisters; Bettey Johnson and Irene Marcum, his love of 32 years, Joann C. Davis and his oldest son, Elmer Lee (Cowboy) Maynard.

He leaves behind two sisters, Christine Grisco and Merline (Glen) Maynard and brother, James Maynard.
Elmer is also survived by his children; Steven (Cassarina) Maynard of Beauty, KY, Tabitha Jane Staton of Paintsville, KY, Ronnie (Mary) Maynard of Inez, KY, Robin Burchett of Inez, KY and Terry Maynard of Inez, KY as well as 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Step daughter, Tina (Troy) Jude of River, KY and step son, Scott (Tammy) Davis of Wolfcreek, KY. Two great friends, Chester Butcher and Billy Dollarhide of Van Lear, KY.
