Obituary for Ella Mae Grace (Newsome)

Ella Mae Newsome Grace 75 of Kermit, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Select Specialty Care Hospital in Charleston, WV. She was born on August 17, 1945 in Kermit, WV; she was a daughter of the late Garland and Lucy Rose Newsome. Ella was preceded in death by her husband, George David Grace, children, Tammy Sartin and Donna Pack, and her siblings, Eugene Newsome, Danny Newsome, Claude Dillon, and Eula Grace. Ella was a homemaker, who enjoyed sewing and knitting. She was a member of the Warfield Church of God.
Ella is survived by David (Beverly) Grace of Pilgrim, KY, Dwayne (Chanda) Grace of Ft. Gay, WV, and Kim Preece of Inez, KY as well as 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jr. Newsome of Naugatuck, WV, sisters, Betty Hunt of Naugatuck, WV and Elaine Messer of Kermit, WV as well as a host of extended family, friends, and people who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be conducted on Thursday, February 4, 2021 starting at 5pm and after 3pm on Friday. Services will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1pm at the East Kermit Church of God with Robbie May officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Ridge Cemetery of Naugatuck, WV. In Response to the COVID-19 virus, all attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.
