Obituary for Elizabeth Lucille Ooten

Elizabeth Lucille Ooten 84 of Naugatuck, WV; went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at her home. She was born on November 3, 1934 in Chatanooga, TN; she was a daughter of the late George W. and Dora Frances Hughes. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Raymond Ooten as well as 2 grandchildren; Alan Joseph Francis and Dustin Heath Ooten and brother, Chip Hughes. She was a Cafeteria worker for the Mingo County School Systems as well as a homemaker and a member of the Lenore Fellowship Baptist Church.
Lucille is survived by her sons; Charles R. Ooten of Lexington, KY, George R. (Bobby) “Delena” Ooten of Huntington, WV, Ronald Gene (Cheri) Ooten of Kermit, WV as well as her daughters, Diana L. “Tommy” Kitchen of Naugatuck, WV and Sharon Rae (Dean) Francis of Hatfield, KY, as well as her grandchildren; Seth Ooten(Whitney), Nicholas Brett Ooten, Melissa Star Wallace(Gordy), Tomi Leigh Stacy(Josh), Jessica Hurst(Darren), and Adam Gregory Francis(Shellie). Lucille is also survived by her great grandchildren; Kirsten, Dakota, Austin Kitchen(Rhianna), Hayden Hurst, Baylee Hurst, Riley Stacy, Reagan Stacy, and Maverick Francis. Lucille is also survived by her sister, Jean Ferrell of Crossville, TN. She is also survived by her special sister-in-law, Beulah Ooten of Myrtle, Wv.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00am at the Lenore Fellowship Baptist Church with Don Stroud and Joaquin Ooten officiating. Burial will follow in the Ooten Cemetery of Trace Creek, WV on Rt. 119 towards Logan, WV. Special services will be conducted on Tuesday night at 7pm at the church. Visitation will be after 6pm on Tuesday at the church. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Elizabeth Lucille Ooten.
