Edward Bennie Baisden 61, of Kermit, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 31, 1958 in Jennies Creek, WV; he was a son of the late Bob and Annie Salmons Baisden. Bennie is preceded in death by his brother, Samuel “Sammy” Baisden. He worked for 15 years for Asplundh Tree Services and made many friends in his life. Before he left this life, he gave his life to the Lord.
Bennie is survived by his son, Kagan Andrew Baisden of Jennies Creek, WV, as well as his siblings; JoAnn Clevenger, Robert (Sissy) Baisden Jr., Bertha (Delbert Spurlock) Whitt, Mary Jean Baisden, and Jessie Baisden. He is also survived by his nephew and nieces, Gregory Scott, Hazel Ann Marcum, Sambo Baisden, Mary Ann Baker, Odessa Copley, Howard “Pug” Baisden, Teresa Jarrell, LeAnn Baisden, and Billie Jo Maynard. He left behind his great nephews and nieces, family and friends as well as special friends, Cecil Hodge and Michelle Bryant.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 11:00am at the Old Jennies Creek United Baptist Church with Ken Allen & Freddie Messer Jr. Burial will follow in the Mountain Grove Cemetery of Jennies Creek, WV. Visitation will be after 5pm Tuesday, all day Wednesday and until time of services on Thursday at the church.
