Obituary for Edna M. Dillon (Lowe)

Edna M. Lowe Dillon 91, of Beauty, KY; formerly of Jennies Creek, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at her home. Edna was born on March 14, 1929 in Mingo Co., WV; she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Jenny Messer Lowe. Edna was a faithful member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. Edna was preceded in death by two daughters, Fanny Lynn Lowe and Lora Lowe Preece, two brothers, Garrett Lowe and Reford Lowe, five sisters, Carey Lowe, Ovie Lowe Salmons, Loda Lowe Muncy, Maretta Lowe Spaulding, and Rosie Lowe. She was a homemaker.
Edna is survived by one son, John (Lora) Simpkins, four grandchildren, Marlene (Devon) Preece, Misty (Scott) Castle, Marcus Simpkins, and Isabella Simpkins as well as four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Risner, David Chapman, Emmalee and Easton Preece and one great great grandchild, Elena Muncy as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Donitta Waller Cook, who she raised as a granddaughter. Edna will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be from 5-9pm Thursday at the funeral home with Funeral services being conducted at 1pm on Friday at the funeral home with Bruce Justice officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery of Old Fork of Jennies Creek, WV. By request of the family and in response to the mandates set forth by the Governor, masks are required for anyone attending the visitation or services.
