Dwight D. Sammons 65 of Warfield, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 7, 1954 in Paintsville, KY; he was a son of the late George and Audrey Clay Sammons. Dwight was a retired coal miner and was of the Methodist Faith.
Dwight is survived by his loving wife; Mary Preece Sammons of Warfield, KY as well as his children; Neil Sammons and Tricia (Aaron) Patrick both of Warfield, KY as well as 4 grandchildren; Caleb Patrick, Connor Patrick, Lexi Sammons, and Ben Sammons. He also is survived by his brothers; George Norman Sammons of Louisa, KY, Ewell Clay (Brenda) Sammons of Salyersville, KY, Greg (Carol) Sammons of Warfield, KY, Harry (Jane) Sammons of Dobson, NC, Sheldon (Joyce) Sammons of Warfield, KY, Johnny Sammons of Warfield, KY as well as sisters, Tammy (John) Hensley of Warfield, KY, and Norma Sammons of Inez, KY as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Mullins Family Funeral Home with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Sammons Family Cemetery of Warfield, KY. Visitation will be from 5-9pm on Friday at the funeral home. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Dwight D. Sammons.
