Obituary for Darlene Young
Darlene Young 61, of McAndrews, KY; went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at her home, while surrounded by her family. She was born on December 6, 1959 in Williamson, WV; she was a daughter of the late Arlin Stanley Jr. and Chloe Marie Cook Stanley. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her grandmother, Della Workman as well as a special aunt, Linda Workman.
Darlene along side with her husband, Paul Young Jr., were former owners of Pizza Time Restaurant of Belfry and Williamson for over 30 years. She was a member of the Bible Way Apostolic Church of Thacker, WV.
She is survived by her husband of 35 plus years, Paul Young Jr., as well as her children; Christopher Tyler Young of Florida, Jason Landon Young of Pikeville, KY, and Brittany Danielle (Justin) May of Pinsonfork, KY. Darlene also leaves behind her 2 special granddaughters, Taryn and Braelyn May. She also is survived by her brothers, Ricky (Easter) Stanley of Hardy, KY, James Edward (Effie) Stanley of Hardy, KY, Glen Roger (Jenny) Cook of Sidney, KY, and sisters, Glenna (Paul) Reis of Brooksville, KY, Betty Diener of Heath, OH, Drema (Alex) Turner of Knox, Indiana, half-sister, Nina Wyatt of Ft. Worth, Tx, step-father, Glen Roger Cook Sr. of Williamson, WV, special cousin, Angie Smith of Belfry, KY and special friend, Kathy Jackson. Darlene loved her Lord and Savior, her church and church family, and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
At the request of the family, a memorial service will be held at a later date which will be announced when the family sets the times. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Darlene Young.
