Danny Ray Ratliff 73, of Chattaroy, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born on November 2, 1946 in Logan, WV; he was a son of the late Edward and Mildred King Ratliff. Danny was preceded in death by his spouse of 39 years, Judy Bateman Ratliff who passed away on November 18, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his sister, June Ratliff Bowen and 2 nephews, Wesley Swain and Keith May. Danny was a Christian of the Freewill Baptist Faith, a carpenter by trade, and a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces.
Danny is survived by his son, Jimmy (Ruby) Ratliff of Chattaroy, WV, daughters, Dana Ratliff (Jerry Blevins) and Nichole (Ricky) Starr both of Chattaroy, WV as well as7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Sara Whitt and Vada Sue Swain both of Columbus, OH and special brothers, Curtis Keeton, Alvin Johnson, and Junior O’Brian.
Private graveside services will be held for the immediate family in accordance to the COVID-19 Virus and the orders set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, CDC, and Kentucky Funeral Directors Association.
