Curtis Bowen Jr. 74, of Inez, KY went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2021 at Highlands A.R.H. Hospital in Prestonsburg, KY. Curtis was born on May 4, 1947 in Rockhouse, KY; he was a son of the late Curtis Bowen and Melissa (Mullette) Bowen. He was preceded in death by wife, Clista Crum Bowen, unborn son, Christopher Bowen, brothers; Edzel Bowen, Nim Bowen, Don Bowen, Rufus Bowen, Freddie Bowen, Cline Bowen, and his great-granddaughter, Chloe Crum. Curt loved playing music in church and attending church where-ever he could as much as possible, while his health allowed him too. He was a retired coal miner.
Curt is survived by his son, Dewey (Sissy) Bowen of Kermit, Wv, grandchildren, Cody Jude of Inez, KY, Michael Jude of Kermit, WV, Christopher Bowen and Breanna Bowen of Kermit, WV, his great-grandchildren, Brayden Jude and Caleb Jude of Kermit, Wv, and Brantley Jude of Inez, KY, as well as his siblings; Larry (Peggy) Bowen of Ohio and Ronnie Bowen of Tomahawk, KY, Bonnie Sites of Paintsville, KY, Betty Cline of Paintsville, KY, and Daisy (Darrell) Fraley of Inez, KY.
Visitation will be held after 5pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Old Route 3 Independent Baptist Church all day Wednesday, and until time of services on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 1:00pm at the church with James Estepp and Jimmy Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery of Turkey Creek Road, Inez, KY. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Curtis Bowen Jr.
