Obituary for Clinton Messer

Clinton Messer 76 of Kermit, WV went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2020, while being surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born on December 29, 1943 in Kermit, WV; he was a son of the late Joe and Ettie Sammons Messer. He is preceded in death by his loving wife; Judy Gaye Messer as well as 2 brothers, Kelley and Clifford Messer and 4 sisters, Dorothy Messer, Patricia Stacy, Peggy Marcum and Brenda Jo Williams. He is also preceded in death by a special sister-in-law, Margaret Damron, brother-in-laws, Carl Brumfield, Robert Lee Brumfield and mother and father-in-law, Lillian and Keither Brumfield. He was a former truck driver for LST trucking.
Clinton is also survived by his children; Clinton Jr. (Beth) Messer and Jeaneen (BJ) Williamson both of Kermit, Wv along with his grandchildren; Jordan (Shayla) Messer of Williamson, WV, Caitlyn Messer of Kermit, WV, Chase Kirk of Louisa, KY, along with 1 great grandson, Camden Kruz Messer. Clinton also leaves behind his siblings; Lois Childers of Kermit, WV, Sylvia Newsome Runyon of Kermit, WV, Connie Rose of Swartz Creek, Michigan and brother, Jody Messer of Statesville, NC. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Ruth Newsome and Lorraine Whimbush and brother in law, Keith Brumfield along with a host of nieces and nephews on both sides and family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 13th, 2020 at 11:00am at the Lighthouse Community Church of East Kermit, WV. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 6-10pm at the church with special services at 7pm with Bobby Perry and Keith Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewer-Sartin Cemetery of Marrowbone, WV. In response to the Covid-19 virus, all attendees are required for attending all services.
