Charles (Charlie) R. Ooten 64, of Naugatuck, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Bridgeport Nursing Center in Portsmouth, OH. Charlie was born on July 7, 1956 in Holden, WV; he was the son of the late Raymond and Lucille Hughes Ooten. He was also preceded in death by his loving nephews, Alan J. Francis and Dustin H. Ooten.
Charlie is survived by sisters, Diana (Leroy) Kitchen of Naugatuck, WV, Sharon (Dean) Francis of Hatfield, Ky, brothers, George R. “Bobby” (Deleana) Ooten of Huntington, WV, and Ronald (Cheri) Ooten of Kermit, WV. He is also survived by nieces, Melissa Star (Gordie) Wallace of Belfry, KY, Tomi L. (Josh) Stacy of Naugatuck, WV and Jessica (Darren) Hurst of Laurel Creek, WV, nephews, Robert Seth (Whitney) Ooten of Marrowbone, WV, Nicholas Ooten of West Virgnia and Adam (Shellie) Francis of Big Creek, KY. Charlie is also survived by his great nieces and nephews; Austin Kitchen, Hayden Hurst, Krysten Ooten, Baylee Hurst, Dakota Ooten, Riley Stacy, Reagan Stacy and Maverick Francis as well as a host of family and friends. Charlie also leaves behind special aunts, Jean Ferrell and Beulah Ooten.
At the request of the family there will be a private memorial service held at later date.
