Charles F. Burchett 84 of Kermit, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born on February 26, 1935 in Williamson, WV at the Williamson Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late Charlie Wayne and Ruth Hatfield Burchett. Charlie was a member of the Kermit Freewill Baptist Church and served as a deacon for 50 plus years at the church. He retired from the American Electric Power Company and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was faithful to the Lord and as a Christian we can quote this verse for his love for God, 2 Timothy 4:7; I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Charlie is survived by his daughter; Crystal (Ricky) Brewer of Williamson, WV as well as his friends, extended family and church friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 12:00pm at the Kermit Freewill Baptist Church with Walter Marcum and Damien Salmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV. Visitation will be after 5pm at the church on Thursday, August 29, 2019 and Friday at the church with special church services at 7pm.
