Bonnie Canter 67 of Frog Pond Road, Inez, KY; passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, KY. She was born on June 11, 1954 in Kermit, WV; she was a daughter of Joe and Edith Baisden Chafins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Canter, and her siblings; Homer and Charles Chafins. Bonnie was a retired nurse and a Christian of the Baptist Faith.
Bonnie leaves behind her daughters, Gail (Floyd) Muncy of Crum, WV and Jessica Canter of West Virginia as well as her grandchildren; Joe Muncy, Makayla Muncy, Alicia Dallas, Daryl Marcum, and the ones that she raised as her own, Katelyn Canter, Shaylee Marcum, and Drew Chafins as well as great grandchild, Kadence Muncy. She is also survived by her siblings; Paul (Joyce) Chafins of Inez, KY, Leroy Chafins of Breeden, WV, Earl (Bert) Chafins, Katherine (George) Francis of Jackson, OH, Irene Marcum of Breeden, WV, and Geraldine (Tom) Marcum of Breeden, WV as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She leaves behind a special nephew, Leroy Jr. Chafins.
Visitation will be from 11-2pm at the Mullins Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 with funeral services being conducted at 2pm. Burial will follow in the Chafins Cemetery of Marrowbone, WV. In response to COVID-19 virus, all attendees are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing guidelines.
