Obituary for Billie Jean Fletcher

Billie Jean Fletcher 83 of Beauty, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Huntington, WV. She was born on August 5, 1937 in Martin County, KY; she was a daughter of the late Cullen and Shirley Slone Jude. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Fletcher, son, John Burgess, and son in law, Jesse Brown. She was a homemaker, member of the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church and a former restaurant worker.
Billie Jean is survived by her children; Deloris Jean Brown of Beauty, KY, Brenda Sue (Lawrence) Simpkins of Ulysses, KY, Lonnie Burgess of Sevierville, TN, Ricky (Treba) Burgess of Beauty, KY, and Deborah Kay (Philip) Fitchpatrick of Beauty, KY and step children, Homer (Vistie) Fletcher of Pigeon Roost, KY, Sharon Kay (Andy) Stacy of Inez, KY, Norman Fletcher of Inez, KY, Linda Carol (Tommy) Maynard of Beauty, KY, Evenlyn (Gary) Hinkle of Lovely, KY and Alex (Jan) Fletcher of Kermit, WV as well as 26 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Cullen Jude Jr. of Columbus, OH and sister, Lola Slone of Inez, KY as well as many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be after 5pm Thursday at the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church and on Friday at the church with Funeral services being conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church with John Horn and Thomas Jude officiating. Burial will follow in the Tommy Fletcher Cemetery of Beauty, KY. In response to COVID 19 virus all attendees must wear a face mask and practice social distancing guidelines.
