Albert N. Smith 87 of Kermit, WV went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Martin County Health Care Facility in Inez, Ky. He was born on December 26, 1935 in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Floyd and Gracie Sartin Smith. Albert is preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife, Ruth Anna Shaw Smith, his daughter, Karen Jones, siblings; Clyde Smith, Robert Smith, Ronnie (Sandy) Smith, Wanda (Jack) Hugh's, Omie (Oscar) Kirk, Janet (Jim) Weaver, Easter Ann Smith, and Gail (Mitch) Mayberry. Albert worked 23 years for Borden Milk Company, 6 years for Pontiki Coal Company, and 15 years for LST Trucking Company.
Albert is survived by his children; James (Renee) Smith of Kermit, WV, Randy (Sharon) Smith of Grove City, OH, Sandy Smith (Victor) Younger of Tennessee, daughter in law, Ladonna Smith of Kermit, WV, grandchildren, Angel Smith Mootispaw, Sherry Smith Garinger, Megan Jones-Cook, Miranda Smith Lambert, Shay Smith, and Braxton Williams as well as 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings and in-laws, Barb Smith, Donald Smith, Thelma Smith, Floyd (Alice) Smith, Lonnie (Rosalea) Smith, Kenny (Leslie) Smith, Sharon (Bob) Sparks and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be after 5pm Monday with funeral services conducted on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Lovely Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Sartin - Smith Cemetery of Marrowbone, WV.
